Band established the Colorado Classic, Attitude vs. Altitude, as an annual event that provides exciting major collegiate basketball to the Rocky Mountain Region.

In its first year, the Front Range NCAA men's basketball doubleheader featured Colorado State University versus University of Denver, and University of Colorado versus Saint Mary's College, at the Pepsi Center in downtown Denver. Both games were televised live on Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain.

We surprised the Denver market in our inaugural season with over 5,000 attendees, school bands, mascots and cheerleaders filling the arena with an exhilarating collegiate atmosphere. Fans enjoyed the two games while raising money for our chosen charities, the Post-News Season To Share and the American Red Cross. Overall, the 2005 Colorado Classic confirmed its immense growth potential.
