Band Marketing was one of the first outside agencies Clif Bar has hired to perform a major marketing program. The idea was to develop a "story in a story" or an impactful theme, rather than just executing a typical product sampling program.

Switching into high gear, band deployed the Clif Bar Adventure Team on a four-month sampling tour spanning the eastern seaboard. A first in the history of marketing, this Climate Neutral Tour hit the road in a B100 biodiesel fueled Dodge Sprinter. Equipped with kayaks, mountain bikes and pretty much any other outdoor gizmo one could imagine, the Clif Bar ambassadors began their summer adventure spreading the word about Clif Bar and educating consumers about the importance of renewable energy and alternative fuels.
